Vangarde Arts is the result of years of passion and sharing ideas within a group of innovative thinkers! Led by local promoter Brent Stockton, a dedicated group of volunteers have invested time and energy into creating a non-profit center that magically blends visual art with performing art in an open and inviting atmosphere. Appropriately named "Vangarde Arts", this group is leading the way and exploring new boundaries for the arts, adding to the already growing cultural district in downtown Sioux City. The gallery lounge and intimate listening room create a wonderful space for patrons to enjoy the social and educational value of original art forms.

Vangarde Arts has played host to legendary musicians like Ray Wylie Hubbard, Johnnie Winter (may he rest in peace), John Primer, James McMurtry, David Lindley, Bo Ramsey, Will Sexton and world renowned Jazz singer/pianist/composer, Patricia Barber! Rising young stars such as Valerie June, Pieta Brown, Mike Zito and New Orleans sensation, Shamarr Alen & the Underdawgs and original Sioux City bands like Ghostcat and Banana Cramps have amazed our growing base of music lovers!

Vangarde Arts is proud to have shown the artwork of many amazing veteran artists as well as emerging artists in its gallery! From the beautiful watercolor pieces of Glenda Drennan to the strangely interesting backwards painting of Kyle Jeffrey to the raw work of a student show... critics have been impressed and others have been inspired!

C'mon... Start Living Artfully!
